    • Don't miss our first semi-formal dance of the year! It will be a fun night of dancing to a live band, seeing old friends and meeting new ones in a smoke-free, alcohol-free setting. All levels of dancing ability are welcome, and you don't have to bring a partner. Non-dancers are welcome, too! The Jones Center has a great wood dance floor, as well as plenty of tables and chairs around the room. The admission at the door ($10 for current members, $15 for former members and guest) includes dancing to a variety of music provided by the band Colours from 8:00-1130pm, and heavy hors d'oeuvres with beverages.

    • The weekly dances normally alternate between Friday and Saturday and are held at the Northbrook Country Club at 4905 North Hills Drive, Raleigh (directions below), and are smoke-free and alcohol-free. About 70 people usually attend, and dress is casual. There is a dance lesson from 8:00-8:30pm (September – May), with dancing from 8:30-11:00pm. The cost is $8 for guests and $5 for club members (membership is $25 a year), and light refreshments are provided. DJs play a variety of music for shag, swing, line, two step, cha cha, waltz, slow, disco and other types of dances. The night-owls may go out to eat after the dance!
